Danforth Campus Facilities Access Policy

The Danforth Campus Facilities Access Policy below sets forth the minimum requirements for reservation and use of Danforth Campus facilities, including facilities and spaces that are overseen by the individual Schools or other university Departments. 

Tobacco-Free Policy

In an effort to provide a healthy, comfortable and productive work and learning environment for students, faculty and staff, all Washington University in St. Louis campuses are entirely smoke and tobacco free.

Table Tents

WashU departments, schools or Student Union-recognized organizations can use our table top displays to promote an activity or event at WashU to the campus audience. Reservations are taken on a first come, first served basis.

Solicitation and Distribution

To avoid disruption of operations, the following rules apply to solicitations and the distribution of literature on WashU property.

Outside Sound Amplification on University Property

Due to stringent noise control ordinances in St. Louis County and in the municipalities surrounding the campus, student groups and other campus departments sponsoring outdoor events, parties, rallies, etc., on Washington University in St. Louis property involving the use of electrically amplified sound equipment must observe the following procedures.

Domestic Animal Policy

In order to provide for the health, safety and welfare of all persons on property owned or controlled by WashU, the following rules are established to control domestic animals on university property. (Domestic animals are any dog, cat or tamed animal intended to be a pet or companion for a person).

Demonstrations and Disruption

It is the policy of the university to protect the rights of free speech, assembly and expression by making its facilities available for activities related to the exercise of these rights, including peaceful assembly. The university is a private institution and may limit access to university property and facilities as it deems necessary.
