Danforth Campus Facilities Access Policy

The Danforth Campus Facilities Access Policy below sets forth the minimum requirements for reservation and use of Danforth Campus facilities, including facilities and spaces that are overseen by the individual Schools or other university Departments. 

Vaccination and Immunization Policy

All incoming students must provide proof of immunization for a handful of serious diseases. As of July 1, 2023, COVID-19 vaccination is no longer required, though it is strongly recommended along with an annual flu vaccine for all students.

Tobacco-Free Policy

In an effort to provide a healthy, comfortable and productive work and learning environment for students, faculty and staff, all Washington University in St. Louis campuses are entirely smoke and tobacco free.

Title IX Information

Washington University in St. Louis does not discriminate based on sex in any of our educational programs or activities. Sexual harassment, a form of sex discrimination, is also prohibited in accordance with Title IX.

Student Title IX Grievance Process

Formal complaints asserted against students under the University’s Discrimination and Harassment Policy or the Student Conduct Code alleging violations of Title IX are overseen by the Gender Equity and Title IX Compliance Office.

Missing Student Notification Policy and Procedure

WashU is committed to ensuring the safety of the members of our university community. In keeping with that goal, and in accordance with the Higher Education Act of 2008, 20 U.S.C. § 1092(j), the university has established the following Missing Student Notification Policy and Procedure.

Medical Leave of Absence for Students

During your time at Washington University in St. Louis, you may experience life situations, medical conditions or psychological conditions that significantly impair your ability to function successfully or safely as a student. In these instances, time away from the university for treatment and recovery can often restore your functioning to a level that will enable you to participate fully in academic coursework and the university community.

International Travel Policy

June 24, 2024

The Washington University International Travel Policy has been adopted to ensure a consistent set of travel standards to be followed by all units of the university. The policy applies to all international travel that is sponsored, is funded in any part, or involves the granting of degree credits by Washington University in St. Louis.

Hazing Policy

Any activity organized by a student organization, or members of a student organization at Washington University in St. Louis, which involves a member in practices which are injurious, or potentially injurious to an individual’s physical, emotional, or psychological well being (as determined at the sole discretion of the university) shall be immediate cause for disciplinary action.
