Officers, deans and all Washington University in St. Louis staff members (collectively referred to in this policy as employees) have a shared responsibility to ensure they conduct themselves in an unbiased manner and serve the mission of the university.
Data Resource Management Guideline
This guideline establishes guidelines for the management of securable university data and the responsibilities for the protection of this data. The guideline refers to all securable university data, whether printed or electronic, and whether individually controlled, shared, stand-alone or networked.
Joint Venture Policy
It is the policy of Washington University in St. Louis (the “university”), whenever engaging in a joint venture with one or more taxable persons, to take such steps as are necessary to ensure that the joint venture is organized and operated in accordance with applicable federal, state and local law.
Procurement Conflict of Interest
Employees conducting business on behalf of Washington University in St. Louis have a responsibility to do so in a manner that is objective and ethical. The goal of all such business dealings must be to benefit the university.
Policy on University’s Relationship with Faculty Startup Companies
To facilitate technology transfer, the university needs to provide an organizational structure and procedures through which inventions and discoveries made in the course of university research are made readily available to the public through channels of commerce.
