Carolyn Roehm Electronic Media Center, School of Art

Type of Computing: Image manipulation, typograghy and 2D design, natural media simulation, 3D modeling and rendering, multimedia, interactive design, web design, and digital video production.

Hours: Summer hours are 9.30 am. - 3.30 pm. A lab assistant will be in during these hours.

Type of Computing: All computers have Microsoft Office (including Microsoft Word) and various Internet applications. Lexis Nexis and WestLaw databases as well as other research and educational software are available for registered users.

Arc Library Technology Center at Olin Library

Computer labs located in Olin Library Level A. Support is available in the form of hardware, software, and staff expertise in the creation and manipulation of digital media. Librarians are available to help patrons locate appropriate library resources and incorporate them into their or teaching project. Technical assistance is available to help visitors with special hardware and software needs. Various levels of printing support are provided. Typical projects which might occur in the Technology Center include: digitizing and editing images, text, slides, VHS; preparation of interactive tutorials and course modules;and development of multimedia incorporating sound, video, animation, images, and text.

Student Technology 24-Hour Computer Labs

Computer labs located in residence halls with word processing, spreadsheets and graphics software, e-mail access, and Internet access. Laser printers are located in every lab. A Student Technology Consultant resides in each area with a computer lab.
